You can pay online.

  • Enter your Exodus Card details at checkout, including your card number, expiration date, and security code.

You can pay in-store.

  • Use your Exodus Card in-store with a digital wallet (Apple Pay or Google Pay). Hold your device near the payment terminal to complete your purchase.

How does it work?

  • When you make a purchase, your Exodus Pay balance is used to fund the transaction. Payments are processed like standard card payments, so you can use your card anywhere your card network is accepted.

There are several ways to top up your balance. To learn more, visit: How do I add money?

To learn more about using your card, visit: How do I manage my Exodus Pay card?

Which assets can I use to fund my Exodus Card?

Your Exodus Card draws from these assets on the Solana network, usually in this order:

  1. Tether USD (USDT)

  2. USD Coin (USDC)

  3. XO Cash (XO)

Your card can't combine balances. Each purchase has to be covered by a single asset. If the first asset doesn't have enough for the full amount, your card tries the next one.

If no single asset covers the purchase, it's declined, even if your combined balance is more than enough. To fix this, top up one asset so it covers the full amount on its own.

What are the spending limits for the Exodus Card?

The Exodus Card has the following daily limits for debit card purchases:

  • $9,500 USD (Global)

Follow the steps below to view how much of the daily limit you've spent:

  1. In Exodus Pay, tap Card.

  3. Here you can see how much of your daily limit you've used.

What exchange rate is used for purchases?

Exodus Card uses your Exodus Pay balance in XO Cash, USDC, and USDT, which are USD-backed stablecoins. When you use your card in a different currency, the transaction is converted from USD using the exchange rate set by the card network and payment processor.

The exchange rate is determined at the time of purchase and may vary depending on market conditions and network conversion rates.

Use the tool that matches the payment network shown on your Exodus Card to estimate foreign exchange rates:

  • These tools provide estimated rates for informational purposes only, and they do not guarantee a specific rate. The final exchange rate applied may differ depending on the time of purchase and network conversion rates.

  • Exchange rates may also differ from those shown on other platforms

What should I know when using my Exodus Card?

  • PINs

The Exodus Card does not currently support a PIN. If you are prompted to enter a PIN at a payment terminal, you may be able to continue by pressing the confirmation button without entering a PIN, depending on the merchant and transaction type.

  • Pre-authorization charges

Some merchants may use pre-authorization charges, which are temporary holds on part of your available balance, to confirm that a card is valid and has sufficient funds.

You must also have enough available balance to cover the pre-authorization, or the transaction may fail. In some cases, the pre-authorization charge can exceed the amount you're spending. Any unused funds are credited back to your card, typically within 48 hours.

Pre-authorization charges are only supported if your Exodus Card was issued in the US. International cards do not currently support pre-authorizations.

  • Physical cards

Your Exodus Card is currently available only as a virtual card. Physical cards are not available, and ATM withdrawals are not supported.

  • Terminal Payments

In some countries, such as Brazil and other parts of Latin America, international and prepaid cards can only be processed as credit. If the payment terminal is set to debit, the transaction may fail or require a PIN. Ask the merchant to select credit instead.

  • Refunds and credits

If you receive a refund, credit, or transaction reversal, the amount will be credited back to your Exodus Card.

You can see your credits in the banner under your card details. Your credits will be used first for future purchases. To learn more, visit: How do I view my credits from refunds?
